I Don't See a Package that is Right for Me, Do You Offer a Custom Option?
Custom packages are offered on a case-by-case basis and can be tailored to your needs, but the minimum charge for any project is $175.00 to compensate for my time invested.
-
What Do I Wear for My Portrait Session?
Wear whatever you feel confident in. I recommend solid colors, earth tones, or non-distracting patterns. If you are being photographed with others, choose a color palette that compliments each other. Avoid all logos and words on any attire.
-
How Many Times Can I Change My Wardrobe?
Most portrait sessions allow for one wardrobe change. However, remember that changing your wardrobe takes time away from your overall session, and depending on your location of choice, there may or may not be a private area for changing. If you plan to change your wardrobe, choose a location with an appropriate facility for changing.
-
Do You Offer Indoor and Outdoor Sessions?
Yes, I offer both studio and on-location sessions. Studio sessions are booked separately from outdoor sessions. If you need a combination of studio and on-location images, you can book each session individually. Typically, studio sessions are lower cost because it is a controlled environment, but the number of shots delivered is lower amount.
-
I Want to do an Outdoor Session, but I Don't Know Where to Go.
If you aren’t sure where to go, I will offer a list of recommended locations to choose from.
-
I Want to Shoot at a Private Location, but I Don't Know How to Get Permission.
I love shooting at unique spots! But shooting at a particular location, such as a private business, does require permission and potentially a property release. Let me know if you have a specific location in mind, and I will investigate their photography policy. Photography policies sometimes require fees. You are responsible for covering that fee.
-
Can I Bring Props or a Pet to My Session?
Absolutely! Props are a great way to help tell your story. Pets are welcome as well (I am a dog mom myself). But please be aware that your pets are your responsibility to control and direct.
-
Do You Provide Hair and Make Up Services?
No, I don't have a team available to provide hair and make-up right now, but I recommend that you come to your session ready and look your best.
-
Do You Offer Wedding Sessions?
While I have performed many weddings in the past, I typically book weddings solely upon request to allow time for other areas of my business. If you are interested in a wedding, please fill out the inquiry form on the Contact page to be sent a gallery of sample images and to talk about pricing.

What is the Difference between Basic Retouching and Advanced Retouching?
Each package includes color correction and basic retouching. Basic retouching means I remove obvious blemishes, stray hairs, and pesky spots. Advanced retouching includes, but is not limited to removing objects from the background, changing colors of objects or clothing, editorial quality skin retouching, adding makeup, compositing, etc. Advanced retouching is a separate charge because of the time and skill it takes to complete. I offer advanced retouching at $10 per image. If your request requires advanced retouching, I will inform you.
-
I only want a few images retouched and not the whole bundle, what are my options?
If you only want basic retouching, such as removing a few blemishes, this service is included in your package price. If you require advanced retouching, I provide that service upon request at $10 per image. If your request requires advanced retouching, I will inform you.
-
Can I Purchase More Images from My Session?
Yes, you can purchase additional images by upgrading your package: 12 additional images for $75 and 24 additional images for $125.
-
Why Can't I Have Every Image from My Session?
I don't give clients all the photos from a photoshoot for a few reasons:
1) Not every photo taken may meet my professional standards. I take multiple shots to ensure I capture the best possible image. I only want to deliver the best quality work to my clients.
2) A pre-determined agreed upon amount of photos based upon your package selection manages your expectations of how many images you will receive and ensures that my time is compensated fairly.
3) Delivering a large number of photos is overwhelming and dilutes the impact of the best shots, requires higher data storage costs, and requires more behind the scenes editing time and costs.
-
What do I do if I lose My Images?
I agree to archive your photos for a maximum of 30 days after the delivery date. After 30 days, I will not be responsible for archiving your photos in the long term. However, if I do have your photos archived, I will re-deliver them for a $25 transfer fee. It is recommended that you back up your photos to a cloud service to avoid losing them.
-
How Do I Buy Prints?
Your images are best cherished through tangible prints. You can buy prints through your Pixieset Gallery. I use WHCC to fulfill print purchases.
